Kristen Anne Bell is an American singer and actress born in 1980. The parents of Kristen Bell were Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier, both television news directors. She was raised and from Huntington Woods Michigan. She was born in the town of Huntington Woods, Michigan with an Polish mother and father who is German, English Irish, Scottish, and Irish. Kristen realized her potential in the entertainment industry in her early years. She was able to land her first part in an audition for Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell was appointed by her mom as an agent when she was just 13 years old. She was then cast for newspaper ads and TV commercials. At this time Bell also started training in private acting. Bell had a minor role without credit in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School where she took part in musical and drama club. She won the starring role of Dorothy at her school's production of The Wizard of Oz. Bell was then transferred in New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She was a musical theatre student there. Bell graduated from college in 2001 when she landed the role of Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. The is the year she was the first to be credited with Pootie Tang (2001), however her character was deleted and her character was not shown in the credit sequence. Bell was in the film with Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson and in The Crucible Broadway show The Crucible in 2002.
